Following a sell-out run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and rave reviews, Melbourne-born and raised comedian George Dimarelos is bringing his show George & Co. (The Solo Tour) to The Greek Centre (168 Lonsdale St, Melbourne) on Saturday 30 July. Audience members can look forward to having everything they once believed in ripped apart in front of their very eyes. But on the plus side, it’s a show proven to make you taller and more attractive to the opposite sex. As if that doesn’t have you intrigued. Suitable for audiences 13+, the show commences at 7.15 pm. Tickets $20 full | $18 Greek Community Premium Members. For tickets, visit www.trybooking.com/Booking/Booking- EventSummary.aspx?eid=212649 For more information, call (03) 9662 2722 or email tickets@greekcentre.com.au REBELLIOUS DAUGHTERS BOOK LAUNCH Rebellious Daughters, a compilation of short stories by some of Australia’s most talented female writers including the likes of Amra Pajalic, Michelle Law, Jo Case and Caroline Baum, is set to launch on Thursday 4 August at The Long Room (162-168 Collins St, Melbourne) at 6.00 pm. Co-edit- ed by authors Maria Katsonis and Lee Kofman, each entry shares intimate and touching incidents of rebellion and independence. As they defy the expectations of their parents and society to find a place of their own in the world, each writer exposes a little rebellious part of themselves, ranging from getting caught in seedy nightclubs to lifelong family conflicts and marrying too young. RSVP by July 27 via email: info@venturapress.com.au Attendance is free.
