The role focuses on the operation of community services programs and demonstrates leadership to the team. COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER - FULL TIME competitive remuneration package making a difference to elderly people’s lives The successful candidate will be a lateral thinker who thrives on ‘looking outside the square’ with tertiary qualifications in social sciences, business, community services or equivalent and minimum five years work experience in a managerial role. REQUIREMENTS/ KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: • experience with the Commonwealth Home Support Programme • demonstrated leadership skills and a sound knowledge and thorough understanding of the aged care service system and other government policy frameworks • demonstrated ability to network and develop positive relationships • strong interpersonal, communication and public presentation skills • ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team • sound knowledge of both English and Greek is required, verbal and written • sound knowledge of issues facing older people and experience in supporting clients with dementia • high level of motivation and problem solving skills. PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTS (PCA) - GREEK SPEAKING - FULL TIME, PART TIME AND CASUAL POSITIONS We are seeking Greek-speaking PCAs in our residential care homes and to support those requiring at-home care in the community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • providing personal care and companionship • assisting with activities of daily living • mobility assistance • encouraging care recipients to maintain their independence • respite care • keeping accurate and up-to-date records. PCAs working within our Community Services division will assume additional duties, such as: • assisting with cleaning, laundering, ironing and other light duties in a household setting within our Community Service division • transportation to and from medical appointments • assistance with shopping, banking etc • meal preparation and planning in a home environment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • bilingual proficiency/fluency in English and Greek is a prerequisite • a Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum) • minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role • a team-oriented attitude, empathy and problem solving skills • commitment to deliver quality care to our elderly. NEW SOUTH WALES HOME CARE PACKAGES SUPERVISOR - SYDNEY - FULL TIME career development opportunity supportive working environment Fronditha Care is expanding its community services arm to Sydney. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Greek-speaking Home Care Packages Supervisor to lead our team in Sydney. This role will be instrumental in the establishment of Fronditha Care’s Community Services - Sydney division. The successful candidate will be a lateral thinker with qualifications in management, business or social sciences and experience in a leadership capacity within the aged care sector, as well as a sound understanding of the ageing process and dementia care.
